Who is the author?

No one has ever seen him run.
It is said that he arrived in Viterbo by chance, one evening of fog and delayed trains. Some swear that he was just passing through. But the passage, sometimes, becomes a stop. And the stop, if blessed by the right silence, can become a home.
He wasn't born here, but he knows the alleys better than those who grew up here.
He is not part of any group, but everyone greets him with a minimal nod — as one does with those who do not disturb.
He writes, walks, observes. And every now and then he smiles to himself when he sees yet another “closed for holidays” sign in the middle of January.
This blog is called Viterbolandia as a joke.
But also to say: in this city everything seems fake, and instead it is true. And if it seems hostile to you, it is only because it has decided that you must first earn the welcome.
He decided to tell it without showing it off.
To write without haste.
To open a gate without making any noise.
He signs his pieces with a pseudonym.
Because he doesn't seek visibility: he seeks connections.
This blog was born from a sweet restlessness: that of living in an extraordinary city that too often lets itself be ignored. Viterbo does not offer itself. It lets itself be found.
It's like an ancient book left open in the middle, that doesn't call you, but looks at you.
“Beyond the Walls” is our attempt to tell this land with respect, sensitivity and a long-term view.
We are not here to promote or sell. We are not here to judge or celebrate.
We are here to observe, to listen, to transform defects into poetry, closures into custody, silence into a form of welcome.
We speak to those who love to travel slowly.
For those who are not looking for entertainment, but for a meeting.
For those who believe that beauty is in the folds, in the details, in the gestures not shouted.
We will tell the story of Viterbo and Tuscia at the same pace with which this land lives: without haste, without noise, with patience.
