Welcome to Viterbolandia

We tell Viterbo without masks.
It is an invitation to discover it, get to know it and, perhaps, love it for what it is: authentic, sometimes rough, always surprising.
The blog is dedicated to those who want to truly experience Viterbo — whether for a day, a trip, or forever.

We write for those looking for real stories, not postcards.
For those who know that beauty is also made of imperfections.

Danze nel Castello

Introduction

🌿 “In the heart of Etruria, where time rests among the branches of the sacred wood…” 🌿

In the time when the gods walked among men and the voice of the earth spoke through the wind, a mysterious and wise people was born, the Etruscans. They left no poems, nor epics carved in stone, but they sculpted the landscape, forged metals and civilizations, traced the furrow between the sacred and the everyday, between death and rebirth.
Nowhere, as in the Tuscia Viterbese, does their spirit continue to breathe in the tuff, to speak in the cypress trees curved on the edge of the necropolises, to sing in the silence of the shady valleys.

Here, between the Cimini Mountains and the Bullicame springs, between Ferento and Norchia, between Vitorchiano and the red stones of Barbarano, every clod of earth is a living memory. It is not history to read: it is a history to walk.

Welcome to Viterbolandia,
a place where the past is not the past, but the present hidden among the branches of an oak tree.
A blog that not only takes you to places, but to the souls who inhabited them.
Follow me, traveler: I will tell you of forgotten gods, of invisible cities, of a people who knew how to read the sky and the soul of things.

So, whether you come in search of truth, mystery, or just beauty, know that in Tuscia — and in this blog — every step is a page, every panorama an unfinished poem.
I invite you to get lost. To find what you may have forgotten.
